What Will Bitcoin Be Like in 5 Years?
Five years ago you could easily pick up hundreds or thousands of Bitcoin because there wasn’t a high demand for it back then. Compare that to today. At the time of writing this, the price is swiftly approaching $11,000 USD each. Imagine, just five or so years ago, the thought that one coin could be worth was unheard of!
There is no way to predict what Bitcoin can be worth in the future. As we learned, when the market demands Bitcoin, the price increases FAST. As you read in the previous page, some say this is a 7-figure coin waiting to happen. Others — despite its success — still think the coin is doomed for an eventual failure. However, those people are having an incrementally harder and harder time keeping that stance as reality cements Bitcoin’s long-staying power.
In early 2014 when the hype was alive and investors were celebrating, Bitcoin crashed about 70% and stayed there for a couple years. This was completely unexpected! This goes to show that you cannot predict the price of Bitcoin or any currency. The market goes where it pleases, and it’s usually impulsive media or news releases that drive it. Or certain announcements involving certain countries can drive the price up or down.
