This may become a little bit math-y, but bear with me!
Sweatcoin’s creators say that their goal is to tie Sweatcoin with the British Pound in the near future. That will be amazing for the economy, but it will establish a very firm anchor and prevent over- or under-valuation for any given offer.
Until this anchor is established, some offers may be very valuable and highly profitable, and other offers will cost more Sweatcoin than they’re worth.
(I’m not from the UK, I’m from the States, so I value everything in pennies, dollars. However the details don’t matter; the math stays the same no matter where you come from.)
Finding an offer’s value
First, look at the offers and do some basic math to find out the value of a Sweatcoin for that specific offer. Let’s create an imaginary offer: Rainbow Toe Socks. Let’s say they’re valued at and they’re going for 350 Sweatcoin. Take the dollar (or pound) value for that offer and divide it by how many Sweatcoin it cost. / 350 = . That means that offer’s Sweatcoin value is . Okay, that’s great.
Let’s say a second offer hits the market, a Gaming Computer Monitor valued at and going for 4500SWC. WOW, that’s a big ticket item, and it would take months to save up that much! But let’s do the math again to see how it’s valued. / 4500 = . So I can see right away, this offer’s value is more than twice as the Rainbow Toe Socks, even though they cost substantially more.
What do I purchase with my Sweatcoin?
The math is only a broad estimate to compare one offer to another. In the end, the gaming computer monitor won’t be worth it to spend 4500SWC on if you’re not going to get much use out of it, even though it was twice as cost-effective as the other offer.
Remember, these are absolutely free gifts, paid for by your walking/running steps. Therefore, you’ll want to purchase whatever will provide you the most value.
However, don’t necessarily blow all of your hard-earned coins on the first useful thing that catches your eye. Take into consideration that tomorrow there may be an even more useful, cost-effective offer that comes out. Because of the daily coin limit, you’d likely not have enough time to earn the coins needed to redeem that offer before its stock depletes.
Use your best judgment … but in the end, my advice is have the most fun! Be critical, but don’t over-think it and get burnt out. Remember, Sweatcoin comes down to giving you a fun incentive to get more exercise and improve your health and well-being!
