How much are my coins worth?
As of now, there is no definitive value that can be associated with sweatcoins, as there is no official platform for exchange. However, day trading in unofficial communities (Check out the subreddit and join our discord server to see the growing rate of sweatcoin trading) created a miniature economy for the currency that has valued it at, as of January 22nd 2018, anywhere between 4 to 8 cents per coin. This is currently the best way to evaluate the value of sweatcoins, as the offers fluctuate in their value per coin. The most official set value could be deemed as the price set by an offer that ran from December 2017 to January 2018, which offered £1000 or $1000 for 20,000 coins. This prices the coins at either 5 or 7 cents.
Rising value
The value of the coins is always fluctuating, with the value at this date having doubled over the course of a few days, so it is probable that it will continue on its ascent. The near future will likely see it surpass 10 cents, but as previously mentioned the value is entirely dependent on what is agreed on between individual buyers and sellers, and the extent to which those prices spread between other deals. Selling your coins for 5 cents per coin may be the norm today, but in a week, they could sell for 10 cents – there is no 100% accurate way of pinning a value to the coins.
Long-term investment
The future of Sweatcoin could see it moving into the world of cryptocurrencies, as Sweatco Inc. have announced the future development of a cryptocurrency blockchain, which is likely to see a significant rise in value for the coins. It could be a wise move to hold onto your coins to see whether they substantially increase in value and if you truly believe that an increase will occur, invest in coins during the ICO (Initial Coin Offering). It may seem like the coins don’t add up to much currently, but if you use the app with day to day passive walking, you’ll line your pockets with some extra cash in no time without even trying to, and if you hoard your coins, you may end up with a small fortune in the future.
