Update Dec. 2017: Sweatcoin hinted at the possibility of adding compatibility features with FitBit. This screenshot below was taken from a Research Questionnaire (which you can participate in under “Research Offers” in the app to receive a 5$ or 5£ Amazon Gift Card.)
Many Fitbit wearers have been asking me if they can use their fitness band to track steps for earning Sweatcoin. It seems like such an obvious answer, right? The Sweatcoin App should definitely reward Fitbit wearers with coins!
However, the company has yet to make an official statement regarding this issue. What they have said is that they are planning on releasing more and more compatibility upgrades so that people can use their favorite tech to accrue Sweatcoin. While they did not say anything specifically about Fitbit, it’s quite hopefully that, at the very least, we’ll eventually see some compatibility in that department.

What Sweatcoin did inform me, when I asked them via email, is that they are also looking into compatibility with certain new brands of treadmills. This has also been the indoor-runner’s plight when it comes to earning coins; some times it’s too hot or too cold to run outdoors. People use use the treadmill should be rewarded for their physical fitness just like everyone else!
This announcement was a bit more specific, implying they are looking at certain brands of treadmills to allow these indoor runners to earn gifts and rewards for their indoor activity.
Keep in mind that the Sweatcoin App is still very new. In fact, it was only released in the United States about one year ago. They are still gathering investment funds to sink into app features & functionality. Therefore, we’re in just the beginning. Wait and see!
